Little Onion

ring – a pearl set with a riveting technique

Materials
silver, pearl

This pearl ring stands out for its unusual band, which flows smoothly from a traditional round cross-section into a triangular one. An irregularly shaped pearl, resembling a little onion, is held between the two bands. The pearl is set with a riveting technique, so the way it is mounted becomes an integral part of the ring’s structure. Pairing the classic form of the pearl with the geometrically transformed band creates a contrast between the organic character of the stone and the bold, contemporary construction.
